The P3 Campus

De Anza College PhotoAll courses for the P3 program will be taught on the De Anza College campus, located in Cupertino, California. The De Anza campus is one of the jewels of the California Community College system.

Located 45 miles south of San Francisco, De Anza College occupies a 112-acre site in Cupertino in the heart of Silicon Valley. Cupertino is also home to Apple, Compaq, Sun, Hewlett-Packard, and many other high-technology firms. Photo PGSP StudentsNestled near the base of the Santa Cruz Mountains, the college was named after Spanish explorer Juan Bautista de Anza. The college is one of the largest, single-campus community colleges in the country with a fall enrollment averaging 25,000 students. Operating on the quarter system, De Anza is one of two colleges in the Foothill-De Anza Community College District.

De Anza College PhotoThe De Anza student body is richly diverse. Most students are from local cities, although some come from more than 50 countries. Celebrating cultural and ethnic diversity is part of the college's philosophy and is reflected in its course materials and at campus events and gatherings. The college is known for its dynamic student activities program, which features successful intercollegiate athletic competitions, intramural team sports, more than 40 student clubs, and an active student government.

  • State-of-the-art equipment and facilities

    More than 1,100 computers are available to students on campus. Students may use the Open Media Lab to do homework, surf the Internet, view videotapes or listen to audio tapes. Advanced Technology Center facilities include the Business and Computer Systems Lab, animation and digital media labs, a screening theater, sound recording studio, Silicon Graphics Lab, and more.

    Students will find ongoing activities at the Flint Center for the Performing Arts, Euphrat Museum of Art, De Anza Planetarium, and California History Center.
